Who we are
Tracey Clark is the owner and principal physiotherapist at North West Hand Therapy, a private practice established in 2012.
She holds a concurrent clinical appointment at Westmead hospital where she is involved in education and research.
Tracey is committed to evidence-based practice, ensuring that her patients receive the best possible care.
Tracey has over 20 years experience in the management of hand and arm injuries and disorders. She holds a Master's degree in hand and upper limb rehabilitation, from Curtin University, and is a PhD candidate at Griffith University. Tracey is an Accredited Hand Therapist (Australian Hand Therapy Association) and a Certified Hand Therapist (Hand Therapy Certification Commission, USA). She is a Life Member of the Australian Hand Therapy Association, a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, and is an associate member of the New South Wales Hand Surgery Association
In 2013 Tracey was elected by her peers to represent them at a national level as President of the Australian Hand Therapy Association. She was instrumental in development of the Accredited Hand Therapist credential and chaired the inaugural AHTA Credentialing Council from 2019 - 2021.
Tracey has presented papers at state and national conferences, and is the recipient of the AHTA / AHSS Best Research Paper Award. She is a contributing author to Repair and Regeneration of Ligaments, Tendons and Joints (Humana Press 2006). She lectures in hand therapy at UTS, and is a presenter of the Australian Hand Therapy Association’s Orthotics courses.
